Community Needs Assessment Survey
The Goldsboro Family YMCA is conducting a community needs assessment and we need your input! The Y would like to hear from the entire Wayne County community so services can be designed that focus on the community. Based on this community needs assessment, the Y, in partnership with others, will design and deliver new programs and services that address critical issues in the areas of youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
This link: https://www.goldsboroymca.org/survey will take you to a short online survey. Survey responses are not individually tracked and are kept confidential. The assessment should take no more than five minutes to complete, and the results will be compiled into an executive summary that will be shared with our organization and others partnering with the Y in this effort.

City of Goldsboro Summer Youth Employment Initiative Program
Please find attached information about the City of Goldsboro Summer Youth Employment Initiative Program sponsor by the City of Goldsboro, Wayne Community College, NC Works, and the Housing Authority of the City of Goldsboro. This is a pilot program to employ youth 14-18, who live within the Goldsboro city limits. Another purpose of the pilot program is to offer services to engage youth and focus on activities such as career awareness, job readiness, skills training and work/project activities that prepare them for future employment opportunities. If a youth is older than 18 or live outside of Goldsboro city limits, he or she may qualify for other similar programs including WIOA.
The Program Flyer, Application, and FAQ will provide more detail information. Visiting the City’s website www.goldsboronc.gov/community-affairs/ will direct an individual to all of the same information, but also to links for resources (i.e., Career Development). Youth can apply for employment two ways: 1) by downloading the application to complete and returning to the Community Relations Department or 2) completing the application online at www.governmentjobs.com/careers/goldsboronc , clicking on “Summer Youth Employment”, then clicking on the “Apply” link!
