Governmental Affairs Committee

The Government Affairs Committee works to ensure that the business voice is heard on issues of importance at the local state and federal level.

The mission of the GAC is to serve as a liaison to government on behalf of business to influence, inform, and promote constructive government/business relations.

The Wayne County Chamber of Commerce continues to work with the Eastern Region of Chambers of Commerce on a Regional Legislative Agenda.

Areas of focus in the outline of priorities:

EDUCATE Our Region’s Future Leader;
ENHANCE Our Region’s Landscape (Infrastructure, Environment, Transportation, Waterways);
EXPAND Our Region’s Economy (Tax Reform, Economic Development, Workforce Development, Small Business);
EMPOWER Our Region’s Leadership.
