The Wayne Education Network has begun working on the 10th annual Middle School Career Fair. This year’s event is scheduled to be held on March 7, 2018 at the Maxwell Regional Agricultural & Convention Center. Each year over 1,500 Middle School 8th grade students including private, home schools and public schools are invited to participate in the event. Because of the age of the students, we encourage all exhibitors to provide some type of interactive presentation into their display. Something simple, like a problem or issue that you have addressed in your business recently. A plumber could bring pipe and fittings that are used in their trade, an engineer could bring drawings from a past job and show the challenges that you faced while creating the drawings, retail merchants can bring their product and show the students how they inventory the products or how they are sold. You never know, you may be the deciding factor for a student to continue his education.

This year’s Middle School Career Fair is sponsored by our Presenting Sponsor: Housing Authority of the City of Goldsboro; Platinum Sponsors: City of Goldsboro, Piedmont Natural Gas and The Maxwell Center; Gold Sponsor: Wayne UNC Health Care; Silver Sponsors: Crown Screening, Franklin Baking Company and Wells Fargo Bank.
