Kelsey joined the Chamber team in the summer of 2023 as a marketing intern after graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in December 2023 as a first-generation college student with highest distinction. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise and Sport Science with double minors in Entrepreneurship and Health & Society. Since first joining the team, Kelsey has continued to invest in the Chamber and its members while navigating transitions between school and life, remaining committed to supporting the organization and the Wayne County business community.
Kelsey now serves as the Director of Communications, where she creates the Chamber’s weekly newsletter, designs graphics and content for social media and e-blasts, and connects with members to help them share their stories through marketing and advertising opportunities. She enjoys jumping in wherever the Chamber needs support and loves having a front-row seat to all the exciting things happening in Wayne County. While she may not always be physically in the office, she is always just an email away and grateful to play a small role in helping highlight the people and businesses that make this community special.
Kelsey is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy at East Carolina University, with plans to graduate in May 2027. Her goal is to serve people well wherever she goes, and she strives to live that out both in her work and her future career.
Outside of work and school, Kelsey enjoys spending intentional time with friends and family, being active, and getting outdoors whenever she can.
